Frequently Asked Questions

1. All industries which have heating process. Below are the heating application where you shall install Greenfire pellet burners.
A: Steam boiler (whether Oil fired, Gas fired OR solid fuel fired)
B: Thermal fluid heater
C: Hot Air Generator
D: Hot water Generator
E: Heat Exchangers
F: Direct Flame heating OR Flue gas heating systems

Wood pallet burners contribute to sustainability by using renewable biomass fuel (wood pellets) instead of fossil fuels. They are considered carbon-neutral because the CO2 released during burning is offset by the CO2 absorbed by trees during their growth. This helps reduce overall carbon emissions and dependence on non-renewable energy sources.

Average combustion efficiency of Greenfire Wood pellet burner is around 90-92%.

We are offering full mechanical warrantee for 18 months from the date of dispatch OR 12 moths from the date of commissioning and OEM warrantee for electronic items.
We assume minimum 3 to 5 years of machine life with negligible routine maintenance but overall Life of burner shall depend on Cleaning & operational discipline.

Yes, Our burner can be very smoothly integrated with your existing (Oil/ Gas/ Coal/Wood) fired system through very nominal modifications. We are making tailor-made solution to match your site requirements.

You don’t need to keep your old oil or gas burner as a backup our pellet burners are built for reliable, continuous operation. But if you have no other use for your old burner, it doesn’t hurt to keep it as an emergency backup, just in case.

To keep your Greenfire pellet burner running at its best, we recommend following the scheduled cleaning routine outlined in our operation and maintenance manual. Regularly cleaning the combustion chamber and fire tube helps extend the burner’s lifespan, improves combustion efficiency, and prevents unexpected breakdowns saving you from production losses in the long run.

How much wood pellet fuel you should keep on hand depends on how much your burner uses, how quickly your supplier delivers, and any seasonal challenges—like delays during monsoons. If stored in a dry place with low humidity, pellets can last 6–12 months. But in humid conditions, they might only stay good for 1–3 months, so keeping them dry is important!

Greenfire pellet burner is designed with safety in mind. It has an air jet backup in the fuel supply line to prevent backfire while running. Plus, there’s a sliding gate at the fuel storage hopper that adds extra protection in case of a power outage. So you can operate your burner with peace of mind!

It depends on burner’s capacity. For larger burners, Greenfire offers an automatic refuelling system with a secondary fuel storage silo and a bucket elevator, all managed by a PLC control panel. For smaller burners, you’ll need to manually add fuel by dumping 2–3 bags into the hopper at a time.

It depends on your burner model. Greenfire offers two types of ash removal systems:
1) Manual ash cleaning (linked to the PLC system) – ideal for smaller burners
2) Automatic ash removal – perfect for larger burners and 24/7 operations

No, you don’t need to shut down your Greenfire burner to remove ash or clinkers. Once cleaning is done, just press the "HOLD REMOVE" button on the HMI, and the burner will fire up again within a minute or two—no cold start needed!

Yes! Greenfire pellet burners automatically adjust their heating output based on process temperature and pressure demand. They’re designed to operate efficiently across different output levels while keeping emissions low. And since the output changes, fuel consumption varies too using only as much as needed to get the job done.

Greenfire pellet burners are highly efficient! Their thermal efficiency typically ranges between 85-90%, while combustion efficiency is around 90-92%, factoring in heat losses. This means you get maximum heat output with minimal waste.

The electricity usage depends on the burner model. You can check our brochure for the exact power requirements of each model. But in general, compared to wood or coal-fired systems, Greenfire pellet burners require much less power to operate.
